BBSVC is launching an initiative to match 100 Littles Brothers in 2026, joining the California Men’s Service Challenge - a statewide effort, in partnership with the Governor's Office, to inspire 10,000 men to become mentors.
There are currently almost 120 youth in Ventura County waiting to be matched one-to-one with a mentor, and approximately 80% of them are boys. BBSVC invites men from across our communities to show how meaningful change begins with real heroes - those who make a lasting impact simply by showing up for a young person.

BBSVC is looking for Team Captains to sign-up and lead a team of 4 new volunteer mentors during the month of March!
Team Captains will be provided a toolkit to help them reach out to potential teammates. There will be incentivized weekly check-ins as each team member moves through the enrollment process to become a Big!
Teams will compete for the title of G.O.A.T. at the March Madness Challenge - a Mixer and Trivia Night that puts their skills to the test! Other recognitions for the evening will include: MVP, Team Spirit, Corporate Partner, Local/Community Partner.

"I love the phrase ‘be the person you needed when you were younger’, and the impact of a positive role model cannot be overstated, especially in a world that can feel more divided every day.”
-Mike

“To me, mentoring means being there for someone the way I wish I had someone when I was younger — someone to listen, guide, and remind me that I’m capable of
great things."
