Inspire youth in Ventura County to be healthy and active, while getting your move on! Bigs, Littles, supporters, and agency friends are invited for our pop-up games, Big Hike, Big Summer Day & Big Surf Day…or our Learning Activities, where you can hear from health professionals like nutritionists and coaches about easy ways to stay healthy! Bowl For Kids’ Sake is a peer-to-peer fundraiser that helps BBSVC raise donations necessary to support our agency’s mentoring programs, where we celebrate our participants’ fundraising efforts with a big bowling party!

Ventura County’s premier charity golf tournament: a day on prestigious greens, swag, food, drink, and an afternoon of fun. Celebrating 50 years of the BBSVC Golf Classic in 2023, this tournament sells out every year. After an upbeat day on the course, the afternoon program includes live music, high-end appetizers and desserts, and exclusive auction opportunities.

Get ready for BBSVC’s third annual Emerald Experience! An immersive and nostalgic event where dressing up in theme is not required, but highly encouraged. This year, we are taking you back to the 1950’s. Get ready for The Sweethearts, a 1950’s inspired band who will sing all your favorite oldies but goodies songs. There will be food, dancing, activities, prizes and much more!

BBSVC’s most sparkling event: a champagne luncheon with black-tie ushers, live and silent auctions, designer bags, jewelry, spa packages, vacation experiences, and more! Join us for an afternoon of impeccable style and taste. Special guests share how their mentors inspired them to achieve success, with a spotlight on the Big & Little of the Year.

FISHING & MINDFULLNESS
Only 25 spots are available for this outing with REEL GUPPY OUTDOORS! Bigs & Littles will gather together for a morning in the outdoors to fish together, and practice the mindfulness of being present in the moment. Sunscreen, snacks, water, chairs, buckets, and journals will all be provided! Participants are asked to dress in layers, bring a backpack and a bag to collect trash (let us know if you need one!), a hat, and comfortable shoes.Note: If you have your own fishing gear and want to bring it, that’s perfectly ok. Otherwise, it is provided.

Move For Kids’ Sake ends with a BIG celebration, and one of our BIGGEST match activities of the year! Join us for a fun day at the park with games, prizes, food & drinks, arts & crafts, and more!

YOGA & MEDITATION
Audrey Walzer has been voted "Ventura County's Best" Yoga Teacher for the last 13 years. A movement biomechanist, her Functional Yoga classes are designed for regular people - including those who are non-flexible - addressing body imbalances created through repetitive motion in sports, computer use, and daily activities. Audrey is also a former Big Sister! All ages, abilities, and experience levels were welcome!
